A chain of events is triggered, forcing Ella and Micah down a shadowed path riddled with unrestrained passion, violence and betrayal. Review:

Blood Lust Rising is the first book in The Vampire Queen trilogy by Fayth Devlin. It centers around Ella, a feisty half-vampire. Ella and her Shadow Hunting partner, Micah, are toyed with by a succubus demon that brings all their hidden lust for one another to the surface.

This book is STEAMY. The passion between these two characters is extraordinary. The attraction and sexual tension was hot before the succubus, but afterward it was boiling. Their relationship was pretty intense. They ended up literally needing each others touch in order to survive. It's not just about sex though, these two have a strong love that develops.

Mixed in with the sex and romance though, is action and suspense. This book is a perfect mix of all these elements. There are a lot of paranormal creatures as well as fighting. All the characters were interesting to me. Ella and Micah were both kick a** characters with a dark past. Even the secondary characters were great. I'm interested to see where things will go with Eli and Hannah.

Blood Lust Rising is fast paced and hard to put down. I don't really have anything negative to say about it at all – it exceeded my expectations. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this trilogy, and I hope I don't have to wait too long!
