Review:

Immortals is the second book in the Runes series by Ednah Walters. I was really looking forward to reading this book after the unexpected ending in the first book. I was shocked when Torin's memories were erased. In this book, Raine is determined to make Torin fall in love with her all over again.

Raine is a tough female lead character. She has so many obstacles to overcome but she doesn't let them get her down. Raine is a busy girl between training, school, trying to get Torin to fall for her again, protecting her friend Erik, etc... There's something happening to Erik and Raine has to find out who is behind it before she loses him.

Raine's scenes with Torin were as swoon-worthy as they were in the first book. Even though he is missing his memories, he can't stay away from Raine. It's so romantic to imagine that the person you love would fall in love with you again after having no memory of you. If that's not an epic love story, then I don't know what is.

This book is definitely a page turner. It's fast paced and has so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming! The Norse Mythology is really interesting to me. As a teenager, I had a big interest in runes – I even had a rune necklace. I don't remember what got me started, but I was really interested in the symbols and what they meant. Because of that, I was really drawn (no pun intended) to this series. There wasn't a big cliffhanger like there was in the last book, but I'm still looking forward to reading the next!
