Review:




Josie is a newly made zombie – created to become a wife to a scientist named Adam. The zombies in this story are all programmed differently – depending on what characteristics the maker wants. I've never really been drawn to zombie books, but I really enjoyed this one. There was no gory brain-eating moments. Well, there was a meal involved, but it was briefly mentioned and we don't know exactly what was eaten. And probably don't want to know.

A sexy assassin named Bane shows up to rescue Josie from her maker. Bane is a zombie – or stein (as in Frankenstein) as well – and they are instantly attracted to each other. This world that the author has created is very unique and well written. You don't think about zombies being high tech, but these ones are. Josie adds humor to this story because she was not programmed to know slang terms. She is very naïve and has this innocence that you don't imagine zombies having.

Josie was also programmed to need a lot of skin-to-skin contact. This leads to some very hottt moments between her and Bane while they are hiding from the bad guys. Because of the novella length, this is a very fast paced book and a quick read. I recommend this to adult paranormal lovers who like a lot of sizzle with their reading!
