Question of the week: Give us five book related silly facts about you.
Of course, I believe I am completely normal so I couldn't think of anything :) I asked my husband and here is what he said:
1. I have more books than anyone should ever read in their lifetime
2. I feel that I am responsible for Border's closing because I bought an e-reader
3. I have this need to keep buying books even though I'm not anywhere close to reading all the ones I have
4. On my to-be-read list, I have 288 books
5. I make my husband keep his books in the closet because my books are filled too deep on each shelf of the bookshelf :)

Question of the week: Where is you favorite place to buy or swap books?
My favorite book store is Border's. They email me coupons every single week - usually 33% off a book. I don't think I've ever had to pay full price for a book there! Unfortunately, the one closest to me is closing so I'll just have to buy online.
I am online shopper. My nearest book store is 30 minutes away and its a Barnes and Nobles.
ReplyDeleteI like your facts, I felt a little guilty about Borders closing too. But I only have maybe 5 books I own that I have not read yet.
HI,
ReplyDeletestopping by for the tag along.
That sounds like a great store to shop, with all those coupons.
Have a wonderfull weekend!

I don't buy as many books as I used to sense I'm back in school :( But I still have so many books that I have not read. I think I would go into a panic if I started reading all of the books on my shelf and my TBR list dwindled.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to refine my TBR list. There are books on it that I was like "well, maybe I'll read this one" but I'm not really interested in anymore. Maybe that's something I will tackle this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Oh, those email coupons are dangerous, aren't they? Even if I'm not looking for something at the moment, I just can't let the deal go to waste. :)

I've got your TBR beat, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, chica!

Hey there. I am an old follower just hopping through, but I wanted to say, don't feel bad for Borders! They were my favorite book store too, but they missed the ball when it came to the development of a good ereader. It was their fault, so don't blame yourself! :)

There is no such thing as too many books! Always remember that! ;)

Hi Tishia, hoppin by on the 18+ I have a BAM conveniently located next to our Target but they never seem to have what I'm looking for so I do a lot of my shopping online.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hopping through on the 18 & over. I travel alot so where ever I am I try to find that towns used book store.
ReplyDeleteI do find some good deals online at thriftbooks from time to time.
I LOVE the Kindle bookstore. That's where I'm the worst about buying books, especially if they're $.99.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, everyone.

I have over 600 books on my Kindle but in my defense, I've had kindles for almost 3 years and for health/location reasons I can't browse the book stores and a lot of them are free books, samples, .99 cents books, etc...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that little buy button so easy to click on, LOL!
I'm and old follower but I'd love for you to stop by and see me!

Happy Friday! I love your facts. Don't blame yourself for Borders closing! But to be honest, I kind of felt that way too. Maybe I should have shopped there more.. even though it was over 30 minutes away. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteOld follower. Have a great weekend!

I definitely have too many books too.
ReplyDeleteI usually buy mine from Amazon though, because finding time to drive 30 minutes to the nearest bookstore is just really hard. And Amazon Prime= free shipping for students. So, ya know. There's that!

I have the same problem, I buy books when I still have books that I haven't read yet sitting on my ereader or on a bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love your book facts. I agree Borders definitely suffered when I bought my e-reader!
ReplyDeleteLove your facts. My husband would say that I have too many books, I kinda got the hint when he bought me a Nook! I think it was more for him, he doesn't have to make room for my tons of books anymore..lol.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! This looks like a fun blog, and I am now a happy follower.
ReplyDeleteI love that you make your husband keep his books in the closet. I have so many, that my husband actaully turned one of our walk in closets into a mini library for me. He couldn't find me one day when I was pregnant because I went in there to find a book to read and started browsing. Over an hour later I was sitting on the floor surrounded by books that made it impossible for me to be able to stand. I was a very clumsy pregnant lady! So I waited for him to find me and help. Lol! He still teases me about it to this day :)
Super blog! I'm so glad you found me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Borders too. I went there today actually... I just started ordering when they started doing the coupons again. Since I have free shipping with my membership. But I do visit the store once a week. At least.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have more books then most people could read in their lifetime, but it's still not enough for me.
Hi, new follower from 18 plus. You and I participate in many of the same contest hops and other bloggy stuff. Hope you will drop by:

Hi! Just swinging through on the Follow Friday. Hey, I got a real kick out of reading your "5 Silly Book Facts"! The comment about Borders closing just got a true belly laugh. We had a Borders (I hate saying HAD) right up the street. I will miss them tremendously.
ReplyDeleteI was also able to see your give-a-way and of course had to enter. Feel free to pick me. :)
Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Borders is my favorite bookstore. Luckily, my Borders isn't closing, but every other Borders in Utah is. :( I hope they can recover. I don't think eReaders per se put them out of business; I think the fact that they didn't keep up with the tech is what did them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in on the 18 and over tag along. I hope you find some good blogs to follow.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!

Hi! I'm an old follower. I love Borders and rarely have I spent full price there. Thankfully, mine seems to be staying open.
